Welcome to Building Spring Island – a crazy journey of bringing together interests and passions I’ve had since I was a young girl into a single project – the planning, designing and building of a new home on Spring Island, in Okatie, South Carolina.
Part journaling, part story-telling, part leap of faith, I hope Building Spring Island not only illustrates the nuts and bolts of building a house, but also shares a few helpful experiences, offers thoughts on mistakes-to-avoid, showcases an amazing slice of the South Carolina coast, and provides much humor along the way.
